Some observations about the NFC Championship, and then I'm going to begin eagerly reading another book

Yes, I just finished watching Saints-Vikings game.   I'm not a fan of either team, to be honest, but I do enjoy watching good football, and the ending just reinforces a belief I've had for a long time- overtime ( in the playoffs at least) should last a full 15 minutes, or at the very least each team should have at least one possession before going into sudden death.   'Nuff said.
I'm very excited about starting C. J. Sansom's Dark Fire tonight.  This is the second of four books in a series starring hunchback Tudor Lawyer and Sleuth Matthew Shardlake.  I finshed Revelation (the third book in the series) last week, and then took a brief detour to read Emma Darwin's A Secret Alchemy over the weekend.
If anyone's wondering how I ended up reading Sansom's Shardlake series out of sequence, it's getting late here and I'll explain later when I write my review-hopefully at the end of this week.  As for A Secret Alchemy, which  I really liked and thought profoundly moving at times, Susan Higginbotham has an informative review posted on her terrific blog,  Medieval Woman.
